Founded in 2002 and led by design director Kurt Liedwart, he has gained a reputation for delivering elegant, minimalist and modern solutions. His approach is based on three principles: simplicity, intelligence and sensitivity. He designs books, exhibition catalogues, music packaging, identities and websites for artists, musicians, galleries and cultural institutions, businesses and individuals.

In addition to client-based work, he records and releases techno and ambient music albums under different aliases. He runs and curates TON editions music label and MIKROTON recordings where he releases music of his own and other artists on vinyl, tapes and CDs. Liedwart runs his own Press Play show where he plays electronic music of diverse kinds from ambient and downtempo to techno and electro. He researches the history of electronic music and sound art.
